When we reached the top, we realized because of the Vog- volcanic ash being blown over from the big island- the view wasn't as great as we hoped. In this photo you can see Hanalei Bay behind us.Saturday, June 13, 2009
Day 4 in Hawaii
Sarah and I did an amazing hike in the mountains near Hanalei. It was a 2 mile hike on the Okolehao Trail, with a 1300 foot change in elevation. From the top, you can see 1/5 of the island of Kauai. We tried to take this picture to show how steep the trail was, but it doesn't do it justice!
